Independence in Self-Care
Children love being independent and as parents we love seeing our children succeed in self-care tasks and the sense of achievement that it brings.
It can be very frustrating for children to struggle learning self-care skills that their friends seem to master with a lot more ease.
As an Occupational Therapist I can support your child in developing the following self-care skills:
- Dressing and undressing
- Managing fasteners, for instance zips and buttons
- Tying their shoelaces
- Using cutlery to feed themselves
